Akumu Nightmare game info
Akumu means 'nightmare' in Japanese, so I decided to keep both words in the game title. The game recently showed up on 'Detarame Factory', a Japanese escape gaming websites where different authors display their work. Despite it's name and the overall atmosphere, this never meant to be a true horror game, not in a conventional way. Don't expect to experience jumpscares or anything like that. Yet, things such as the old witch castle, graveyard, owl, and creatures of the night reaching their bloody hands from the graves - all these elements are present all right.
How to play?
One of the first things you need to do is to find the secret code and get the shovel. Than use the shovel to dig out a hole underneath the tree in order to get the 'pumpkin' key. That key will get you inside the house. One interesting moment in this game is that at certain point you will see a barefoot girl, with long dark hair, coming out of the well - you're guessing - this game segment has been inspired by the famous scene from the Japanese horror movie 'The Ring', and the girl's name is Sadako (Samara Morgan). Ok, you will see some other strange stuff, such as microwave oven that cooks 'past' and 'future', not sure how that fits in, but nevermind.
